Ronald Reagan Fun Facts

I think most people would agree that Ronald Reagan was a great President and initiated many important changes which still impact and benefit us today.

However, there may be some things you didn’t know this famous President, so here are some Ronald Reagan Fun Facts.

In his early years, Ronald became a lifeguard at Lowell Park in Illinois where he saved 77 people from drowning.

After graduating from college he became a Chicago Cubs radio announcer in Des Moines, IA. This job brought him to Hollywood in 1937 to cover the Cubs during spring training.

While there he took a screen test and ended up signing a contract with Warner Brothers for the princely sum of $200 per week.

During his acting career Reagan appeared in over 50 films.

Reagan originally became involved in politics as a Democrat. However his political affiliation began to shift when he began to work for Richard Nixon’s election in 1960. He eventually officially joined the Republican Party in 1962.

During is presidency Reagan came up with several phrases which are still in use today. This includes “New World Order”, “The Welfare Cadillac”, and his most famous phrase “Trickle Down Economics” or “Reaganomics” as many people have called it.

President Reagan was very fond of jelly beans and snacked on them often. He was particularly fond of the Jelly Belly brand.

The company developed a special blueberry flavor to match the colors used in Regan’s inaugural event. It featured bowls of these special Jelly Belly beans. There were almost 3,000,000 jelly beans served at this event.

Congress asks for 5 more year to rule

Current ruling govt is by congress, and Prime Minister Manmohan singh o Sunday called upon the peole to allow the Experienced congress to rule the country for five more years, so that they can continue their work, which is still to be done.

"The Congress ‘hand’ is with the common man. We are committed to build a new developed India for which we have undertaken many projects. The task has remained unfinished. We want more time. Congress needs at least five more years,"

H was addressing the people of assam, he was there for the occassion of ‘Rongali Bihu’ (srping festival) and assamese new year,

BJP has been calling him a weak leader, so this was his chance to hit back

He hit out at BJP for failing to tackle terror. "Just recalled what the UPA government did to tackle Mumbai.attack and what they did when the opposition’s government led by the BJP was in power. There is gulf of difference between what BJP preaches and what it does. Terror and extremists have no place in the country and we are firmly committed to root it out," he said.

Other the other hand, BJP is still raising different issue in this election. Seems like, BJP is out stock when it comes to issues this time.

BJP’s Raises a New Issue in this Election

image I wrote about the money of  politicians deposited in the Swiss Bank.

This has become the new issue for this Election,

BJP’s Contender for PM, Sh. Lal Krishna Advani, claimed that, if he come into power, He will bring back the money, which is deposited in 70 different foreign banks, in 100 days.

BJP is also trying to them some information on the details of these account holders, so that they can put a question in front of congress government.

I also wrote that Advani was going Obama way in this election, but after this incident where an ex BJP Party worker throws a chappan on him, I think he is going the Bush way.

Advani has assets worth over Rs 3.5 crore

image Lok Sabha election are nearing, and now the prime ministerial candidate L K Advani, on wensday declared his total ( his and his Family’s ) assets are worth Rs 3.5 crores including tow flats and one house.

He also has a case pending against him, that is of Babri Masjid Case.

While electing in 2004, he declared assets worth over Rs 1.30 crores

uring the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, Advani had declared deposits worth Rs 12,28,087 in his name and Rs 11,19,356 in his wife’s name.

I dont get how they are able to earn being a just an MP, who is a salaried by Govt of India.

True that they get all the perks but get can be getting that much amount.

these things are questionable to every candidate who has declared their assets

Some day Ago I wrote about Rahul Gandhi.

This really proves my story of Wining in Elections is like wining a Jackpot, In India.

Do you still think Politicians have rights to be a Prime Minister?

Wining in Elections is like wining a Jackpot, In India

image We can say this because Most of the Indian Politicians are so corrupt that start their corruption on Day 1.

as they grab the winning seat, they start filling their own lockers, bank balances.

This makes me ask a question to all of you!

Do you really choose a Leader who cares for you?

No, I don’t think So,

In India, Politicians win, not because of them, but because of the Political Party.

We don’t really care, who is contesting the election, we just care which party is.

I was reading few blogs, and I landed on this page.

I’ll copy and paste it here,

# In 2004, he declared total assets of Rs 22 lakh. In five years, the assets of the first-time MP have shot up 10 times to 2.25 crore.

# In 2004, he held bank deposits of Rs 11 lakh, £30,000 and $19,200; shares of Rs 3.9 lakh; LIC and other savings certificates in Rs 3.80 lakh; jewellery worth Rs 1.25 lakh; and a farm house worth Rs 9.8 lakh.

# In 2009, he holds bank deposits of about Rs 20 lakh, LIC and other savings certificates of Rs 10.2 lakh; land worth Rs 40 lakh, jewellery worth Rs 1.5 lakh; and two shops in a mall worth Rs 1.63 crore

Elections in India, seems to be a jackpot to me. Whoever wins, get the opportunity to become rich, even if he is rich already.

This is not the only Example that is making me say so.

I recently got an email in which it was stated the Swiss Bank has got Rs 70 Lac Crore of Indian People from 1947 to till date.

This is as much as 3 times the debt on India from Foreign Banks. last portion of this Amount of Money might be from Our Politicians.

German Government officially wrote a letter to Indian Government that they (German Government) are willing to inform the details of holders of 70 lakh crore rupees in foreign Banks, if Indian Government officially asks them.

But Indian Govt did nothing, neither the Ruling Party nor the opposition.

This Clearly shows that They don’t want to disclose this to anyone.

You can get more info Here

Who is going to be India’s next PM

It Elections Time again.

Time to choose the Leader for another 5 years of time.

Currently its Dr. Manmohan Singh. from Congress.

Lets see who will be the Next.

BJP is targeting Social Media for its Campaigns.

All of you must have observed the Google ads showing the Picture of Lal Krishna Advani.

BJP promises to bring a revolution in electronic media. making India a high tech place.

While BJP is promoting its Party and Lal Krishn Advani as the next Prime Minister of India.

Here is a screenshot of a web page showing Ads of BJP.

I think on other Political Party in India is using these type of Campaigns.

Few People said its Obama way of Indian Politics. As Barak Obana got Success. There is a possibility BJP could win  by doing so.

Be it anything, I’ll Suggest every Indian to Vote,

The Temple Being Converted into Auto Repair Workshop in Pakistan

The conversion of a century old temple into an auto repair shop in Karachi has invited the ire of the minority Hindu Community in Pakistan.

This was the News, Times of India, was interested in.

Not only Times of India, Almost the Whole bunch of Media is looking for these type of News.

All they search for a News where Justice in not done from Muslims Side.

Why are they interested in Some Other Countries’ Issues.

Where as there are several Mosques which have been converted into Tabelas (Cowsheds)

These media People have done a research on the Foreign country issue.

And I think the data is taken from a Paki Source or a Website.

I don’t know why these people don’t care to see what is happening in our country.

We hardly see any news favoring Muslims.

How changes in the minimum wage affect the economy

Whether you are Republican, Democrat, Independent, believe minimum wages should be higher or that they should be lower are all political distinctions. Fortunately, the fact is that minimum wages have an empirical impact on the economy regardless of the party politics surrounding them.

Oddly enough, minimum wages, which are generally designed to help people move above and away from the poverty line, tends not to pull many out of poverty. How is this possible though? People are getting more money, right? So this is always a good thing, right?

Economics has a few answers. Minimum wage is an example of the economic term "price floor" – that is, an artificial rate that sets the lowest price a commodity can be traded for. In this case, the government is setting a price floor on labor and is establishing that $5.15 (which will be quickly rising to $7.25 as a result of new legislation) is the lowest that consumers of labor, businesses in the country, can offer the supply of labor, everyone in the labor for.

The problem with this type of price floor and all price floors is that, already, the demand curve for labor slopes downward (as wage rates increase, employers will demand less workers), and the supply curve for labor slopes upward (as wage rate increase, yes, there will be more people searching for jobs). The two oppositely sloping curves make an "x" and the center of that x is the happy equilibrium: just the right number of people demanded and supplied at the right wage. However, with the price floor, instead of having an equilibrium between the numbers of workers and the amount of people employers want to hire, a price floor makes more people want to work and makes employers want to hire less people.

Quite simply, you have a surplus of labor, which means greater unemployment.

This doesn’t explain, however, why a higher minimum wage doesn’t not directly affect poverty as well as it should. Remember that a minimum wage raises employers’ costs; it is not free money to workers. Because employers have to pay more, they must express this increased cost by raising the prices of the goods and services they provid, so because a company (such as Wal-mart) must pay their workers more, they have to also raise prices to cover the extra costs. In summary, minimum wage actually just inflates the prices of goods in such a way that instead of pulling people above the poverty bar, the poverty bar simply moves up with the people.

long-term economic issue: it decreases people’s willingnesses to specialize, which is important because specialization is the way that people most directly pull themselves from poverty. If a plumber is paid $8.00/hour (just hypothetically), and a grocery store bagger is paid a minimum wage of $5.15/hour, then the bagger now has an incentive of going to school to become a plumber and making more money. There then becomes a kind of hierarchy of jobs by their pay-grade, however unfortunate that is. However, if minimum wage is 7.25/hour (hypothetically), remember that the wages a plumber makes would not increase as well, so a person no longer has any incentive to gain more education or skills and advance.

Minimum wage is not all negative however. Going back to the downward sloping curve of the demand for laborers, realize that if employers can get labor for as cheap as possible, they would prefer to and will. This has explained slave labor in the past and now it explains current trends at providing illegal immigrants with work visas or outsourcing to countries with lower wage rates. The minimum wage serves as a regulation that keeps these employers from selling at high prices, paying their workers little, and making exorbitant profits.

Terror attack in Jaipur and it’s ramifications

After month of lull of any fatal terror attack in the heartland of India this time on the evening of 13th May terrorists chose pink city as their target. Nine serial bomb blasts near the world famous Hawamahal took 63 human lives.

Just few days back I was thinking that probably things are changing, hoping that in future our life would not be exposed to such brutal face of death. I though our children would again grow up without looking at such bloody scenes in their childhood. I think I was too optimistic about the augmentation of the tolerance level and the patience of those insane people who taking the excuse of religion or painful past don’t hesitate to plant bombs to take away the life of common people.

This time it’s another small outfit named Indian Mujahideen who has claimed responsibility for carrying out this deadly attack in Jaipur. It’s good to know that this outfit also launched a diatribe against Muslims who do not support terrorism, calling them a ‘bunch of coward’ and vowing punishment to them unless they sought forgiveness.

So such radical outfits acknowledged the major presence of liberal Muslims and their resistance within. They must know that whatever happens such large fraction of the community won’t ever support the shedding of the blood of innocent and will stand forever against such religious freaks whose ideas are based on intolerance. By organizing this fatal bomb attacks they not only killed 63 innocent common people but also the entire humanity.

Yes they might have forgotten to learn from the Quran itself where it is written clearly that killing of even one innocent person is akin to the killing of entire humanity. No, if heaven is there they must stop dreaming of finding a place there by committing such heinous crime.

Well it’s truly disappointing to see how politicians have indulged themselves in the blame game. So many saffron politicians and other intelligence officials are holding responsible the lack of any tough law to deal with the terrorist. Already the issue of revoking of POTA (Prevention of Terrorism Act) can be heard in high pitch from the parties which implemented it in past. But it has been proved that BJP led governments always used this impious act against a particular community.

One intelligence officer points out to the ineffectiveness of the general law showing examples of delayed justice in case of Mumbai bomb blast, Hyderabad Bomb Blast, Varanasi Bomb Blast etc. But everyone is emphasizing more on the curing of the symptoms but not the disease itself. Sri Krishna Commission even though said that the Mumbai Blast was due to the violent repercussion of the Mumbai riots happened two months back, but its recommendations are still not implemented. Though we are successful enough to punish the culprits of Mumbai Bomb Blasts after long 13 years but we are yet nab any of the murderers in the Mumbai riot cases. Same goes with the Gujarat riot cases where state itself gets involved in the killing of its citizens.

We want to live in a more secure India; we want a place where fear of life won’t be a regular thing. India must strengthen its internal security system by better networking and probably by following the federal system that has already been advised by the experts. And moreover justice must be given to every victim so that the faith remains there on our judicial system. We believe change is possible.

We the people and our princes of the land

Americans feel proud of their history, of their revolution, of the dream and all those hope that had been infused in them as Great American Dream. The dream that if anybody works hard he can make scratch to stars. But here in India the situation is so much different. Parental lineage, family system is a commonplace in Indian Politics.

So Rahul baba is in news again. Recently most of the veteran Congress politicians cum ministers lined up and proposed to promote Rahul Gandhi as the next PM in the upcoming elections. Though again Congress high command in haste defended itself by saying that it’s up to the Congress Working Committee to decide on these issues. Whatever it is it seems like eyewash.

The 1st question is the credibility of Dr. Manmahon Singh as the PM(yes even after the inflation fiasco). And the 2nd question arises how much Rahul Gandhi is qualified to be the Prime Minister of the largest democracy in the world. Few months back he made an irresponsible comment hailing his family’s contribution to Indian Politics and declared they created Pakistan. Pakistan Foreign Affairs Ministry leave no time to make this diplomatic faux pas as an issue.

Well one of my friend said few days back that whatever it is but Rahul Gandhi is destined to be the Prime Minister of India if not today then tomorrow. Probably that’s why slowly it is getting embedded in the Indian psyche and people accept all the craziness going around him.

In spite of the economic growth and all the glitz and glamour spreading all the across the country am very much cynical about India. First till now major Indian politicians don’t talk about 21st century issues like Human rights, Women empowerment , freedom of expression, civil liberties but they chose caste, religion , regional , superstitions as their issues. Yes in such country a child during his upbringing will learn more about the family and held people of certain class or clan or family in high esteem. Media is also become a part of it.

Whenever the son of former Member of Parliament get becomes politicians and given ministry media hails as youth power slowly coming at the front. Yes in a country where Prime Minister is not an elected representative of the people and Rahul Gandhi winning the traditional seat like Amethi without addressing the issues of the common man. Let Mr. Rahul Gandhi take any constituency where Congress has so little power and fight from there in the upcoming elections. Before that he must work there with the common man addressing their concerns like basic human necessities, schools, hospitals, roads etc.

I don’t want tomorrow we will let our children learn to deviate from the true value of democracy and let them accept these Rahuls as politician just as they belong to a family with special surname. Or I don’t want those headless chicks to whisper at the Page 3 parties or discs,”oh! He is so hot. He must be our PM”

Even now I dream that even in India tomorrow a magnificent persona irrespect of anything like Mr. Obama who was unknown even in last year will come up with his ideas and values but not from certain family and will give a speech in front of the innocent minds despaired with hunger starting with the words tinged with hope ‘We the people…’.
